Finisar’s FTL4C3QE1C QSFP+ transceiver modules are designed for use in 40 Gigabit Ethernet links over duplex multimode or single mode fiber. They are compliant with the QSFP+ MSA1,2 and represent a multimode adaptation of IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-LR43 refered to as LM4. Digital diagnostics functions are available via an I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP+ MSA. The optical transceiver is compliant per the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU4. This SFP+ LR optics is designed for use with Intel network equipment and is equivalent to Intel E10GSFPLR. It supports data-rate of 10.3125Gbps (10GBASE-LR) or 9.953Gbps (10GBASE-LW), providing 10-Gigabit connectivity for up to 10km on single mode fiber cable.
Finisar’s FTLX8571D3BCV 1G/10G Dual-Rate SFP+ transceivers are designed for use in 1-Gigabit and 10-Gigabit Ethernet links over multimode fiber. They are compliant with SFF-8431, IEEE 802.3-2005 10GBASE-SR/SW and 1000BASE-SX . Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF8472 . The FTLX8571D3BCV is a “limiting module”, i.e., it employs a limiting receiver. Host board designers using an EDC PHY IC should follow the IC manufacturer’s recommended settings for interoperability with an SFP+ limiting module. This product is for applications specifically designed for 10G SFP+ ports and 1G/10G SFP+ ports and not native 1G SFP ports. The transceiver is RoHS compliant and lead free per Directive 2002/95/EC, and Finisar Application Note AN-20386.
